How do I know the correct portion size for my pet?
Answer: You can set the portion size within the app and seek guidance from your pet food packaging or vet. -

What kind of batteries does the feeder need?
Answer: The feeder requires four C cell batteries which last around six months with normal use. Batteries are not included. -

What is included in the set?
Answer: The set contains 1 SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect, 1 Sure Petcare Hub, 2 x user manuals, 1 grey single bowl, 2 x grey half bowls, 1 grey mat, and 1 RFID collar tag. -

Can you set a timer to have it only open up at a certain time?
Answer: If you have the app, yes. You can set at least 3 different lock and unlock times. -
Question:
Is there a way to fix a feeder that recognized my cat’s microchip, but doesn’t open the feeder door when he’s sticking this head between the sensors?
Answer: You can reprogram using the tag the company provides, and your cat can wear it on his collar. Works much better! -
Question:
What type of microchip is this feeder compatible with?
Answer: Works with the US 15 digit chip and comes with a chip for a collar. -

If your internet connection goes out, will the feeder store the data and update the app once reconnected or is any activity during that time "lost"?
Answer: If the internet is out it can’t record the activity. -
Question:
Do you have strategies for keeping wet food cold?
Answer: We replace bowls and change food twice a day to ensure it stays fresh. The automatic cover seals pretty well keeping out dust and contaminants. Food stays fresh for a day at room temp. -
Question:
Can you use the split bowl for different foods?
Answer: Yes, the scale will measure how much food is added per side and then the Sure Petcare app will tell you how much has been eaten from each side when your pet visits the feeder. -
Question:
How tight is the lids seal when it is closed?
Answer: The lid is not insect-proof, so bugs like ants can get into it if they are determined. There are holes in the bottom. -
Question:
Can you use the split bowl for food and water?
Answer: You should only use it for food, get a water fountain for your pet. -
Question:
Will one hub track and report to the phone app feeding from two feeders so I can monitor both of my cats daily food intake?
Answer: The hub connects your connected feeder to the app. The app will track and report all connected feeders you buy. -
Question:
Do they make metal bowls for this version?
Answer: They do make metal single bowls, but I have not found metal split bowls for this feeder.
