Inglés técnico marítimo contribuye a mejorar las radiocomunicaciones marítimas en inglés. A través de sus numerosos ejemplos prácticos y ejercicios, los estudiantes se familiarizarán con las frases normalizadas para las comunicaciones marítimas de la OMI (SMCP) y con publicaciones náuticas como derroteros y avisos a navegantes. La obra se complementa con un amplio Anexo que incluye: un resumen gramatical, que servirá de soporte a las comunicaciones verbales y a la interpretación de publicaciones náuticas; un extenso glosario inglés-español, español-inglés con un listado de siglas y acrónimos, que dará respuesta a muchas de las dudas que se le planteen relacionadas con el Inglés marítimo; y, además, información muy útil como las escalas Beaufort y Douglas, nomenclatura de luces y señales de niebla y la traducción de los certificados de especialidad de STCW. Al final del libro se incluyen 100 ejemplos de preguntas tipo test que serán de gran utilidad para la preparación de exámenes como el de Capitán de yate, según se establece en el R. D. 875/2014, de 10 de octubre, que regula las titulaciones náuticas para el gobierno de embarcaciones de recreo. Las soluciones a todos los ejercicios se encuentran disponibles previo registro en www.paraninfo.es y en la página web www.inglesmaritimo.com, junto a los archivos de audio y podrán escucharse directamente desde el enlace o descargarse en cualquier dispositivo de almacenamiento.
