Product Description
About This Item
Introducing the Adafruit 4226 INA260 High or Low Side Voltage, Current, Power Sensor - the ultimate solution for all your current sensing needs. With its precision and versatility, this breakout board will revolutionize the way you measure current, voltage, and power. This incredible sensor is capable of measuring high or low side DC current, bus voltage, and automatically calculating power with unparalleled accuracy. It can operate over a wide range of voltage, current, and temperature settings, ensuring reliable and precise measurements with better than 1% accuracy.
All the data is conveniently delivered in an easy-to-use format over I2C, making it compatible with any microcontroller that supports CircuitPython or Arduino, as well as popular single board computers like Raspberry Pi. Unlike many current-measuring devices, the INA260 eliminates the constraints that limit their usability. Some devices can only measure low-side current, which can cause issues when the ground reference changes with current. Others require you to change the shunt resistor to measure different current ranges.
However, with the INA260, these limitations are a thing of the past. It features an integrated precision shunt resistor that allows you to measure up to +36V at up to 15A continuous on either the high or low side – truly remarkable! The INA260 achieves this level of precision by measuring the voltage across its integrated 2 milliohm (0.002 ohm) shunt resistor using the internal 16-bit ADC. This enables measurements over an impressive current range with a resolution of 1.5 mA.
In fact, the resistance of the resistor is so low that some multimeters might register it as a short! While the bus voltage measurement and power calculation are accurate in a high side configuration, advanced users who want to measure bus voltage in a low side configuration will need to cut the jumper connecting V+ to VBUS and connect the VBUS pin to the voltage bus. This added flexibility ensures that the INA260 can adapt to your specific needs. Whether you are an e-commerce business owner, online retailer, or power optimization enthusiast, the Adafruit 4226 INA260 is the ideal solution for accurate voltage and current measurements. Monitor and track power consumption with ease, optimize energy usage, and gain valuable insights into your power management.
This sensor is the ultimate power monitoring tool for e-commerce stores, offering the best accuracy and measurement capabilities available on the market. Upgrade your energy monitoring system today with the Adafruit 4226 INA260 High or Low Side Voltage, Current, Power Sensor and discover the power of precision and flexibility.
