CURT Hitch Balls 40033 Editorial Review
The CURT 40033 Chrome Trailer Hitch Ball has a diameter of 2 inches, a 1-inch rise, and a shank measuring 1 x 2-1/8 inches. It has a height of 3.4375 inches from the bottom of the ball to the top. There are no wrench flats on it to hold it while tightening the nut, which can make it challenging to torque down. The ball does not have a hole drilled through the shaft at the bottom for a cotter pin to keep the nut from falling off. The chrome plating is of low quality. It is not made in the USA but in China. It performs well but is not compatible with all hitches.
