Answer: No they are not. But they do make a steel toe in the oiled leather, which my husband has and loves. -

Traction on water?
Answer: I am a otr trucker run maine every week never had any problems with traction rain or snow and winters are nasty up there. Only problems with traction are on ice and oil where nothing but cleats will help. I can with out a doubt tell you these boots are waterproof been I think this is my 5th pair and I walk right thru puddles of water never had wet feet. -

Why can't I order the Tand Distressed in eight and a half wide US
Answer: the company doesn't make it anymore. If you are just wanting it darker, you can always put snowproofing and that will do it. Hope this helps. Would love to sell you a pair. -
