Answer: Probably, but the design of this tool is such that you can apply sufficient hand pressure to really get in and dig out the crevices. I doubt that with a pole, it would be as effective. It’s a very Japanese gardening tool. Japanese gardeners are know to me meticulous. -

Answer: I do not believe so, it is very cheaply made . The blade would not cut through weeds as advertised. Do not recommend this product.
