Behemoth [DVD]

In the realm of indie horror films, "Behemoth" has not made a positive impression on its viewers. The main criticisms revolve around the film's lackluster acting and weak dialogue, which detracts from what could have been a suspenseful experience. The majority of the narrative takes place in a motel room, centering on two characters, one of whom is tied to a chair. Unfortunately, this setup does not translate into engaging storytelling; instead, it feels stagnant and directionless. Many audience members have pointed out that the film fails to establish a coherent plot, leading to frustration rather than intrigue. The acting performances have been described as indifferent, with some reviewers noting that the actors appear to lack any real investment in their roles. A particular scene involving a stabbing demonstrates this disconnect, as the action is portrayed with such a lack of realism that it undermines the film's intended tension. The unexpected conclusion to the plot, which includes an abrupt and seemingly random moral declaration, has left viewers shaking their heads in disbelief rather than feeling a sense of resolution. Overall, "Behemoth" seems to have missed the mark in its execution, leading to a collective sentiment that the film is not worth the time or investment. Audiences suggest steering clear of this title, as it offers little in the way of quality entertainment or engagement. **
