- Das Fertigungstechnische Kolloquium in Stuttgart findet in dreijahrigem Turnus statt, in diesem Jahr zum 10. Male. Es fUhrt die Tradition des von Prof. Dolezalek 1959 ins Leben gerufenen Automatisierungs-Kolloquiums fort. Ver- anstalter sind die Fertigungstechnischen Institute der Universitat Stuttgart sowie die Fraunhofer-Institute fUr Produktionstechnik und Automatisierung (lPA) und fur Arbeitswissenschaft und Organisation (lAO) sowie das Zen- trum Fertigungstechnik Stuttgart (ZFS). Diese Einrichtungen befassen sich mit allen Fragen der Produktionstech- nik, wie der Technologie spanender und umformender Verfahren sowie der Lasertechnik, wie der Planung und Organisation von Produktionsstatten und Fertigungsanlagen, wie der Konstruktion und Steuerung von Werkzeugma- schinen und Fertigungseinrichtungen. In diesen Instituten sind mehr als 400 Mitarbeiter im Bereich der Forschung und Entwicklung tatig, deren jungste Arbeiten beim Kolloquium vorgestellt werden. Das Fertigungstechnische Kolloquium '97 steht unter dem Motto Stutt- garter Impulse - Innovation durch Technik und Organisation. Aus For- schung und Praxis werden erfolgreiche Beispiele fur innovative MaBnahmen und fur rasche Umsetzungen von der Idee zum Produkt zeigt. Durch derarti- ge Wandlungs-und Anpassungsprozesse kann der Standort Deutschland ge- sichert und die wirtschaftliche Situation in breitem Rahmen verbessert wer- den. Der vorliegende Band enthiilt die schriftlichen Fassungen der Beitrage. Die Veranstalter danken allen, die engagiert an der Erstellung dieses Ta- gungsbandes mitgewirkt haben.
