The Costway 9000BTU Portable Air Conditioner is a good room air conditioner that efficiently cools the room and is easy to vent out the window. A reviewer who owns rental properties even purchased two extra units as backups for when the central air goes out. However, there are many Cons to this product - it is extremely loud, the back of the remote control is missing, the plastic vented cover is broken in two places, and the exhaust hose doesn't stay attached. Additionally, the fittings the hose connects to are not attached upon delivery, and it's impossible to set up without purchasing additional parts that were not included. The instructions for the window were also inaccurate. Many customers have had bad experiences with this product, with some saying that the compressor is vibrating so hard it's rattling against its side and that the exhaust hose is of poor quality and will not stay connected. Overall, the unit has received mixed reviews from customers.
