It is easy to install and communicate directly with your network without needing a separate hub. The auto-unlock feature is useful, and the Yale customer service is excellent. However, there are some downsides to this product. Although the installation is easy, the Yale lock has a long bolt that might throw an error if any interference between the door frame and the bolt. The knob and latch assembly can be defective, which affects the rotation of the knob and doesn't retract the latch, making it hard to open the door. Some customers experienced regular and continued issues with the smart connect module/function, losing network every couple of days and not reliably connecting.
