Answer: Yes, the rudder can be left in a straight position and still needs to be connected to footbraces for control. The springs inside drop the rudder when released, and to bring it up, lock the rope in a cleat. -
Question:
What comes with the rudder kit?
Answer: The rudder kit includes the rudder assembly (blade and housing), but not footbraces or rigging kit. The buyer may also need a mounting gudgeon based on the boat's layup.
