Answer: On replacing the BU220CL Belt Unit or belt due black lines, this depends on the model number of the printer. -

I'm having red rubber and burned smell from my printer, is this the part to replace?
Answer: No, that sounds like the fuser. I had to take mine in and have that replaced; it was about $180 and not a user replaceable part. I was getting dimples on my printed paper though, not your issue. I just know there is red rubber in the fuser assembly. -

How many pages will it print?
Answer: Hard to say. Printer will say it needs to be replaced at 50,000 pages but we tend to reset the counter and continue to use it until it fails. -
