CONFAST Concrete Screws Editorial Review
The CONFAST 3/16" x 1-1/4" Flat Phillips Concrete screw is a durable and strong product that is great for securing sub-floors to cement floors, plywood to concrete slabs, and for use in outdoor concrete, decking and masonry. The recommended minimum spacing for attaching 3/4 inch plywood to a concrete slab is 4 inches and the product comes with a drill bit that is 6.5" from tip-to-tip, requiring a 5/32" drill bit. The product is made in China and while it is sturdy enough for shearing 30lbs, it may not be ideal for suspended 30lb items. According to customer reviews, the screws work perfectly when used as intended and are less expensive than other similar products available at Home Depot. However, one customer found the included drill bit useless and had to use their own, and another had issues with the screws breaking in half.
