The seat Consists of nylon with a foam-like pad about 1/4" thick that will keep you comfortable for hours at a stretch. The chair is Constructed in a way that keeps the nylon seat fairly stiff, providing extra support. However, some customers had issues with the footrest bar that does not lock on both sides, and some found it challenging to close the chair, with it being a bit loud and extreme when it did finally close. The company does not sell carry bags separately, which is a bit disappointing. However, for those first couple of years, the chair is sure to make you happy.
