    Answer: NO, it sadly doesn't....does fat, visceral fat, muscle ... but you can't work out hydration % as you don't know the missing weight/% contributed by body organs.
  • Question: Please, can you confirm whether the scales can be used on carpet floors?

    Answer: You can place a large book on the carpet or some other hard flat object and place it on that.
  • Question: Does this use single frequency or dual?

    Answer: Hi Dantab , the Oberon scales use 8 sensors on the handle and the scales feet plates for complete body measurement using the geo-electrical impedance method . Body fat is measured as a percentage of body fat. The one thing that gives an inaccurate scale measurement is not emptying your bladder before using the scales. That's why the scales can give a false reading because the electrical impedance is disrupted by the urine in the bladder. The scales are accurate after emptying your bladder.
  • Question: Can you use this without having to take your socks off? I.e. does it work just using your hands?

    Answer: There needs to be a slight current through your feet and hands to gain measurement.
  • Question: How does this scale measure RMR?

    Answer: Not too sure how it takes the measure but I am fairly certain that it's a calculation based on the other areas it measures. You input your height and weight at set-up and it then measures the various areas listed including visceral fat.
  • Question: Can these scales be used by numerous people?

    Answer: These scales can be easily used by numerous people. You can erase your friends' details and replace them with the details of other people using the instructions provided.
  • Question: What does clinically validated actually mean?

    Answer: Clinically validated means that the device has been used and measurements have been verified in different patient groups. This provides confidence in the consistency and accuracy of the readings obtained.
  • Question: I have had similar scales before but it never gave an accurate reading due to us having Lino or wooden floor with thick underlay. Is this an issue?

    Answer: Using the scales on carpet or spongy Lino floor covering may interfere with consistent readings. Placing a stiff board on the soft floor covering can provide a suitable base for the scales.
  • Question: Can this scale be used to measure body components of many people? I am thinking to get one for my weight management centre.

    Answer: There is a guest option to measure body components of different people, but the data (height, sex, and age) will not be saved.
