Can I connect directly to a solar panel?
Answer: Yes you can. Use a 100W 12V solar panel. Load up to 4 solar panels at 100W 12V in parallel to increase the AMP power. Remember, adding more than 4 100W solar panels can make the pump burn. Also, make sure not to go over 24V, 20A if you series your solar panels. -

What size hose can I use with this pump?
Answer: You can use a regular garden hose. Use 3/4 PVC and a brass hose bib for plumbing. -
Question:
Will this pump fit down a well casing?
Answer: This pump will fit down 8 inches or bigger casing, but it is not designed to be submerged all the time like a well pump. -

Will this pump operate a typical rain bird impulse type sprinkler?
Answer: The pump has a zero flow-rate pressure of 26ft of water column which is about 11psi. Standard residential water pressures are 40-60psi. Check the minimum operating pressure of your sprinkler. The pump is ideal for high-volume, low-pressure irrigation like 6 garden hoses at once. -
Question:
Does it work with a 36V panel?
Answer: There are no 36V solar panels available. Use 2x100W panels in parallel if possible. Alternatively, a buck-boost controller may work to reduce the voltage to 12V. -
Question:
Is the pump zinc treated or stainless steel?
Answer: The body is made of stainless steel, but bolts and other parts that are not stainless steel can get corroded very quickly. -
Question:
Can I use it to pull water from a creek through a portable hot water shower?
Answer: It depends on the head lift in feet. A 12v 33ah deep cycle battery should work but check the head lift required for the portable hot water shower. -
Question:
Does this pump shut off when it hits a certain pressure?
Answer: No, the pump never shuts off. It has a head of 1.5 meters. -
Question:
Do I need a voltage regulator/controller for the 100W solar panel?
Answer: You could try a charge controller and a deep-cycle battery to get the pump moving, but connecting 2x100W panels in parallel is easier and cheaper. Keep in mind 100W is the solar panel's rating under optimal conditions.
