The Rockville RPA9 is an A/B amplifier that produces a warm and full-bodied sound. It is relatively lightweight, with easy-to-manipulate connections, dual fans, and zero noise. There are equal power outputs on both channels with XLR balanced inputs and outputs which allow you to connect additional amps. However, there are several cons to using this amp, including a small power supply and transformer, flawed paintwork, and a small power cord without a built-in filter. The RPA9 won't be able to match outdoor concert levels and, when the gain is turned all the way up, you'll be genuinely using all of its power. Despite its shortcomings, this inexpensive amp is ideal for powering vintage speakers.
