Tarrago Metallic Dye is a fast-drying, easy-to-use paint that is specifically designed for use on leather, canvas and synthetic leather. The dye comes in a range of metallic colors, including silver and gold, which are composed of metal flakes. The coverage of this dye is excellent, and it can even cover old stains on the leather. However, it is worth noting that this product produces an opaque result that doesn't conform to the description of a "dye." More like paint, it covers damaged leather fairly well if one takes the time and care to apply a heavy enough coat, though the final result is somewhat fragile. The dye can be applied using a felt-type wall paint edge pad for a smooth surface without any streaks. The application should be done in thin coats, allowing 90 minutes to set before applying subsequent coats. It is recommended to let it dry completely before use, which might take a few days. The resultant finish can be further treated with a matching shoe polish for added durability. This product cleans up easily and is suitable for use on handbags, shoes, and belts.
