How many calories are in a serving of this food? How big is the serving?
Answer: The chicken variety is 366 calories per cup. A good size cat will eat ½ to 1 cup per day. Perhaps 200-300 calories on average. I would recommend a high protein/low carb food instead for feline weight loss. My cats seem to find high protein foods more satisfying but eat less of it overall. Physiologically, cats can't lose weight quickly in a safe manner, so it's probably best to make small reductions and weigh him frequently, then readjust. -

Has the 'tender selects' version of this cat food replaced the standard salmon and tuna version?
Answer: I can't find the original, all hard version anywhere. I've been to many places looking for it. My cat is not happy about it. -

Is it okay for indoor cats to have these? or should I get the indoor advantage?

The last few bags I purchased do not have any 'meaty morsels' in them and they happen to be why we buy them for our cats. Can you tell me why?
Answer: The last 2 bags I've received have been this way, also. Instead of meaty morsels, it's more like sawdust. I'm going to purchase some from the store and compare to see if it's the stock supply or perhaps something else. -

I just received this bag of cat food and it wasn't until I opened it that I saw the date on there which is 10-20-17. Is that the expiration date??
Answer: Wow, I had to look all over the bag before I saw where they put that date. Good catch. I'm thinking that it's the day it was processed and packed because if it was the expiration date, I think it would say so. At least I hope so because my bag is even older than yours. 5/23/17. I'm going to contact the company and find out. -

Is the actual shipped product chicken and rice or chicken and turkey?
Answer: Your question made me wonder so I looked at the ingredients. The front of the package states that the first ingredient is real chicken as does the ingredient list, the ingredient list shows rice flour as being the second ingredient. I don’t see turkey listed as an ingredient.
